MAKING A DIFFERENCE TO WMA MEMBERS, VETERANS, AND AMERICAN HEROES
We invite you to join the WMA mission to connect and empower women of the United States Marines Corps through connections, service, and solidarity. WMA conducts programs for charitable and educational purposes; to promote the welfare and well-being of elderly, disabled, and needy women Marine veterans, as well as women currently serving in the Marine Corps; to provide entertainment, care, and assistance to hospitalized veterans and members of the Armed Forces of the United States; to sponsor or participate in activities of a patriotic nature, particularly those that perpetuate the tradition and esprit de corps of the United States Marine Corps; and to foster the spirit of comradeship of women who have served or who now serve in the United States Marine Corps, regular or reserve components.
When you support WMA, you are providing opportunities, recognition and often dignity to our members, our veterans, and their families. Your generous, tax-deductible donation to WMA will change the lives of so many deserving individuals.
Donations
Your Support Matters. Your support makes a difference to all Veterans. We accept Master Card and Visa
The WMA General Fund supports the day-to-day operations of WMA. WMA is comprised of a dedicated volunteer force of Marines who strive to fulfill the purposes of WMA. Without operational support, our organization would cease to exist.
WMA Emergency Needs Fund
WMA Emergency Needs Fund currently offers grants to vetted applicants up to $1000 to assist Veterans in need. The need is always greater than the funding capacity. Donations will enable WMA to support veterans who served our country. This is open to all Veterans.
“I want to thank the Women Marines Association for helping us through a very difficult time. We are on the road to recovery and having the WMA support behind us to help assist our immediate needs has been incredible. We can now afford to stay in our home.’

The Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Memorial Scholarship Fund has grown from its inception in 1964 of two $500.00 scholarships to an average of fifteen scholarships of $1,500 each (individual scholarships can be up to $5,000). The Memorial Donations program was established in 1975 and contributions are accepted in memory of a deceased WMA member, their families, or friends. Donations can be designated for the Memorial Scholarship Fund, National Headquarters Fund or WMA general funds.
Major Megan M. McClung Memorial Scholarship
In 2008, the first Major Megan Malia McClung Memorial Scholarship was awarded to a college student by Megan’s parents, Drs. Re and Michael McClung and the Women Marines Association. A yearly scholarship has been given in Major McClung’s memory and honor since 2008. It is our hope to continue her legacy each year with the Major Megan M. McClung Memorial Scholarship.
Donating to the Women of the Corps Collection (WOCC) is a crucial endeavor in preserving the rich and often overlooked history of Women Marines. The WOCC houses a unique collection of rare uniform items and artifacts that not only symbolize the courage and contributions of women in the Marine Corps but also serve as tangible reminders of their pivotal roles throughout history. By supporting this collection, donors play a vital role in ensuring that the stories and experiences of Women Marines are not lost to time. The WOCC becomes a living testament to the dedication, sacrifice, and resilience of these trailblazing individuals who have served their country with honor. Through donations, we not only honor the legacy of Women Marines but also inspire future generations by showcasing the diversity and strength that has defined the Marine Corps throughout its history.
The Lotus Mort Fund/Julia Hamlet Award
The Lotus Mort Fund is to support the history of women in the USMC. Lotus Mort, the first woman warrant officer in the Marine Corps and the first female instructor at the Recruiters’ School in Parris Island leaves her legacy here to celebrate those who went before. The Julia Hamblet Award, which is awarded by the MCHF on behalf of WMA is for those who honor the history of women Marines.
Planned Giving: A planned gift is a contribution that is pre-arranged or planned for allocations in the future. Often set up and incorporated through a will or trust, planned gifts are commonly granted upon the passing of the donor. Many of our members have chosen to include WMA in their wills or estate plans. WMA will ensure that all bequests will have lasting impact and your contribution will enable us to continue to serve, support, and honor our members, Marines, Veterans, and their families.
