Though the weather outside is frightful in many states right now, it’s a great time to plan a mini vacation in Florida. Florida Gulf Coast Chapter FL-2 will be hosting a Regional event and regardless of which state you are from, all are invited to this winter getaway as we celebrate the 67th Anniversary of women in the Marine Corps.
This Regional Anniversary Luncheon and Conference is planned for Saturday, February 13th, 2010 at 12:30 PM at Best Western, Clearwater Grand Hotel in Clearwater, FL. National WMA President Rhonda LeBrescu-Amtower will be the guest speaker. Special guests include Judy Anderson, WMA National 1st Vice President and Linda Clark-Wolford, Area 3 Director. Cost for the luncheon is $25.00 per person.
On Friday evening we will have an informal gathering to enjoy each other’s company and talk about issues affecting chapters and members at large. It will be a great time to brainstorm on upcoming events and membership ideas.
After Saturday’s luncheon, our destination will be the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa for a night of entertainment and fun. Then Sunday will gather to work on any unfinished business, have breakfast and then say our goodbyes.
