Life of a Lioness – Cpl Jennifer Parcell
CPL Jennifer Parcell, 20, of Bel Air, Md.; assigned to Combat Logistics Regiment 3, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Okinawa, Japan; died Feb. 7 while supporting combat operations in Anbar province, Iraq.
Cpl. Jennifer Marie Parcell. She was a Marine and by all accounts a damn good Marine at that.
Like many teenagers, when she graduated from high school she was still trying to find some direction. It was when she attended her brother’s Marine Corps boot camp graduation ceremonies at MCRD Parris Island, S.C., that she found what she wanted to do.
She wanted to be a Marine, too.

Cpl Parcell’s picture is displayed on the wall in my classroom. Every year I tell my kids about her—a real American Hero. I still pray for her family/loved ones. May God comfort and bless them.
