Honor Our Fallen Heroes & Experience a Day to Remember

National Parade

The Women Marines Association is seeking her members and our fellow women Marines to participate in the National Memorial Day Parade.

The National Memorial Day Parade is in Washington, DC the afternoon of Monday, 27 May 2019. WMA chapter members and Marine Veterans will be accompanied by women who are serving on active duty in the Marine Corps as well as the Marine Reserve. You do not have to be part of the Women Marines Association to participate with us.

This parade is our nation’s largest Memorial Day event. Honoring the memory of servicemen and servicewoman who died to protect American freedoms and values, it is an exhilarating, unforgettable experience for parade participants as some 300,000 curb-side spectators express their enthusiasm and appreciation.  We have participated for several years and would love to make this year our biggest entry ever!

Among the celebrity participants participating this year are long-time friends and supporters Gary Sinise and Joe Mantegna along with Miss American 2019 Nia Franklin and celebrity chef and veteran Robert Irvine among others to come. The parade will be viewed by service chiefs of each of the branches of the military.

The parade will be nationally syndicated on various ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox stations across the county to approximately to 1,500,000 television viewers – and is aired live (as well as on replay) to our troops around the world on American Forces Network. Additionally, it is streamed live via YouTube and broadcast on DC radio WTOP (103.5 FM).  Below is the 2018 and you can feel the excitement.

The parade features historical re-enactors, celebrity veterans, bands, musical performances, supporters of our military, active duty personnel, and youth groups, and marching bands. There will be floats and over-sized helium balloons.
Please honor our Fallen Heroes by participating in the parade.
