Standing next to her Summer whites, 91-year-old Kathleen Drummond served in the USMCWR from 1943-1946.

Kathleen’s brother served in the Army and encouraged her to sign up. About that time, the Marine Corps opened to women and she immediately signed up to serve as a Marine Corps officer.

The Women of the Corps history collection contains many of Kathleen’s uniforms and photos.
