NC-3 celebrated the 77th anniversary at the home of President Tracy Crow in Liberty, NC. Our numbers were down due to some unanticipated travel, but we did connect with prospective new member Kathy Curtis.
Our secretary reported on the $1250. donation acknowledgment from Durham VAMC Voluntary Services, and we discussed our next fundraiser that will benefit various activities sponsored for both outpatients and inpatients. We have had 2 successful Wine for Humanity events, and will start planning for another one in May.
New officer elections resulted in no changes, as Tracy will continue as President, assisted by Catherine Barker (VP), Dee Green (Treasurer), and Mitzi Manning (Secretary).
We were proud to announce that our Loyal Escort Ed Mims was elected to join our sister Marine (and his wife) Del on the Creedmoor (NC) Board of Commissioners.
